John
Beasley Brickhouse

Regiment, Alabama Infantry under the command of Colonel John H.Forney. He received a disability from the Confederate Army shortly
after the Battle of Bull Run in Virginia due to rheumatism from wading the Shenandoah river and sleeping in the rain during and
after the battle. He was discharged from the army at Chimborage Hospital, Richmond, Virginia in 1861. |

Alabama Volunteers, Infantry, during the Civil War. After the war he was Superintendent of Public Instruction for Houston County,
Tennessee. He also served as Clerk of the Court and as a Justice of the Peace in Houston County. He moved back to Alabama
before his death in 1909 and is buried at Eulation First Baptist Church near Anniston, Alabama. |
